Hi there my name is Lianne Ranson, I am a level 6 qualified British Sign Language (BSL) Signer with a degree in Deaf Studies and Social Care BA Hons. I am a Deafened Mummy and a hearing aid user.

I have over a decade of experience working with D/deaf people in nurseries, Schools, Colleges and Universities.

I am a communication support worker, note taker, and freelance tutor specialising in Deaf Awareness Training and British Sign Language from beginners onwards. 

My tailor made short courses and training help better facilitate communication and therefore reduce barriers for D/deaf people.

There are 11 million people with hearing loss across the UK, that’s around one in six of us. By 2035, it is estimated that there will be around 15.6 million people with a hearing loss across the UK – that’s one in five.
